Charthia Cellars brings together a vision, enthusiasm and passion for wine.  We believe each wine lover deserves a unique and personal experience when tasting our wines and then enjoying them with family and friends.  Our grapes are handpicked to ensure optimum quality.  In addition, our personal, hands-on approach to winemaking and integration with our customers add to the pride we take in our total committment to Charthia's recognition and award-winning wines.  We feature the butterflies on our label as they are a universal symbol of metamorphosis, beauty, cycles and the powerful force of nature - all things that we see each season in the vineyard.

Charthia Cellars is made up of four partners:  Cynthia and Charles Keller & Christine and Michael Raiser.  Together, we have embarked on this journey and continue to work together to build the Charthia brand.  Our love of wine and the vines is what has "Married our Lives with Wine."

Life is choices... a phrase we have all heard more than once.  In our case, getting into the wine business occurred after several other choices became less interesting as we entered our 40's.  We resided in New Jersey where wine was a pleasure but not a vocation.  It was when we committed to marrige that we also knew we were ready to invest in our other love, wine, and, thus our journey began.  Like Lewis and Clark, we packed up our few worldly possesions and our journey took us to Napa Valley, where Charles pursued and completed his degree in Viticulture and Enology while also working for several great winemakers, and Cynthia worked her way into the sales, marketing and production project management aspect of the wine business.  Charles is also the Managing Partner of Charthia Cellars.

Christine and Michael Raiser

Who would have thought fifteen years ago their interest in wine would be so deep?  Yes, they enjoyed it socially for many years.  However, with their daughter and son-in-law's love and devotion to wine it rubbed off on them and the partnership was established.  Christine grew up in State College, PA and graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Education.  For over 20 years she taught in the Wayne, NJ Public Schools until retiring.  Michael also graduated from Penn State University where he met Christine.  He has over 50 years of business experience.  Both Christine and Michael have owned Michael Raiser Associates, Inc. since 1982.  Also, they continue to support Penn State University activities especially the Men's Lacrosse Program.  During lacrosse season if they aren't in front of their television watching a game you know they are at the actual game enjoying it live.
